Terms
of use.

Last updated 23 September 2026rotorvpn.com/terms

The rules for using Rotor, in plain language. Each section starts with a one‑line summary; the full text below it is what applies.

Agreement

In shortUsing Rotor means you accept these terms.

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and the Singapore company that operates Rotor VPN (“Rotor”, “we”) and govern your use of the Rotor VPN app and service. By creating an account or using Rotor, you agree to them. If you download Rotor from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; these terms govern the service and Apple's agreement governs the app licence.

Who can use Rotor

In shortYou must be 18 or older.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to enter into a binding contract. You may not use Rotor where doing so is prohibited by law.

You may not use Rotor if you are located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions — currently Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions — or if you are on a sanctions list maintained by the United Nations, Singapore, the United States, the European Union or the United Kingdom. You may not use Rotor to export or re‑export it in breach of these rules.

Your account

In shortOne account, your devices, your responsibility.

  • You can sign in with Apple, Google or a one‑time email code. Keep your sign‑in method secure.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
  • Your account is personal: you may not sell, transfer or share it outside the device limit of your plan.
  • Each plan includes a limited number of devices. You can see and sign out of them in the app.

Subscriptions and billing

In shortBilling is handled by Apple; cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.

  • Rotor is offered as an auto‑renewable subscription purchased through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period for the same length and price unless auto‑renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings, or from “Manage subscription” in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • If a free trial is offered, it is available once, and any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
  • If the price changes, Apple will notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
  • Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its policies. We cannot issue them ourselves.

What we will never do

In shortWe protect your traffic — we don't watch, change or sell it.

  • We do not log your online activity: no traffic, DNS queries, browsing history, IP addresses or connection logs.
  • We do not inspect, modify, inject into or redirect your traffic.
  • We do not slow down traffic based on the app, site or protocol you use.
  • We do not show ads, and we never sell or share your data.

Acceptable use

In shortRotor is for privacy, not for harming others.

You agree not to use Rotor to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else do so;
  • create, store or distribute child sexual abuse material;
  • attack, probe or scan other systems or networks, including port scanning and denial‑of‑service attacks;
  • distribute malware, or gain unauthorised access to accounts, devices or data;
  • send spam or unsolicited bulk messages;
  • commit fraud, including with stolen payment details or phishing;
  • harass, threaten or abuse others;
  • infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights;
  • resell, sublicense or share the service beyond your plan's device limit;
  • overload or disrupt the service or other users, including through automated or bulk account creation.

How we enforce these rules

In shortWe act on reports, not on surveillance.

Because we keep no activity logs, we don't monitor what you do. We act on credible reports from third parties, on abuse that affects our network or other users, and on valid legal orders. We may also apply network‑level protections that don't require identifying anyone, such as limiting traffic patterns used for spam or attacks.

Depending on how serious a violation is, we may warn you, limit features, suspend your account or terminate it. We will not refund the remaining subscription period for an account terminated for serious or repeated violations, to the extent the law and Apple's policies allow.

Privacy

In shortOur Privacy Policy is part of these terms.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, what we never collect and how long we keep it.

The service

In shortWe work hard on speed and uptime, but can't promise perfection.

We work to keep Rotor fast and available, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service or that Rotor works on every network. Server locations, features and supported platforms may change over time; if we remove something important, we will tell you in advance where we can.

Disclaimer

In shortRotor is provided as it is.

Rotor is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non‑infringement. A VPN improves your privacy and security but cannot protect you against every risk.

Limitation of liability

In shortOur liability is limited, except where the law says it can't be.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of Rotor. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Rotor in the twelve months before the claim or US$100.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded or limited by agreement.

Indemnification

In shortIf your misuse leads to claims against us, you cover them.

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your breach of these terms or your misuse of Rotor, to the extent permitted by law.

Ending your account

In shortDelete your account in the app any time; data is erased within 90 days.

You can stop using Rotor and delete your account in the app at any time. Access ends immediately, and the remaining account records are erased within 90 days as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription — cancel it in your Apple ID settings. We may end your access if you breach these terms, as described above.

Governing law and disputes

In shortSingapore law applies; your local consumer protections still do.

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. If you have a problem with Rotor, contact us first at [email protected] — most issues can be solved quickly. If we can't resolve it, disputes will be decided by the courts of Singapore.

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may also bring a claim in the courts there.

Changes to these terms

In shortWe'll tell you about important changes.

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Rotor after a change means you accept the updated terms.
